Trash Graph

By Danielle

This graph shows the height of trash that would accumulate if everyone in Bristol produced 1 cubic foot of trash each day and scattered it over Bristol during a 20-year period. There are approximately 27,857,284 square feet of land in Bristol and about 60,000 Bristol residents. Since trash has no constant volume, 1 cubic foot is an estimate; however, if it were not for recycling plants, like Ogden Martin, it is apparent that by the year 2020 Bristol would be buried under 15 feet of trash if garbage were not processed.
